Skiing... Located at the junction of two major valleys in the Portes du Soleil ski area –the largest linked ski area in the world consisting of 12 resorts across France and Switzerland, all covered by one lift pass. It is the ideal base for those who want to look for the ideal snow and not be tied to what is on offer at the local resort. The nearest resort is at Abondance a 5 minute drive but Pres la Joux and the famous “Wall” are 25 minutes in 1 direction while Morzine- Avoriaz is 25 minutes in the other
Ice Climbing... The Canyon d’Essert provides a nice 4 pitch grade 4 ice climb. It is normally in best condition at the beginning of January.
